Why I choose Crossfit
I have been "CrossFitting" since early 2006. Once I was exposed to the basics of CrossFit I immediately recognized the benefits of this system.
Although I have been involved in several styles of Martial Arts and have a background in Law Enforcement (both training and working with) I have never found a fitness program that better prepares you for life's unknown challenges. Once I found it, I learned as much as I could about the basic elements of CrossFit, attending various related certifications. I earned an Olympic Weightlifting Cert, a CrossFit Level 2 Instructor Certification, Crossfit Football Cert as well as learning the basics of nutrition from the Paleobrands Team: Loren Cordain, Robb Wolf, and John Welbourn.
Why might you want to “CrossFit”? Is it for the health benefits? Are you an athlete looking to better your game? Are you looking to fit better in the yellow polka dot bikini? Is it an ego thing…“My workout is harder than your workout!” Are you preparing for combat and recognize CrossFit as the best way to be ready for the unknown? Do you want to be able to keep up with your children as they grow. Do you simply want to be able to eat what you want, when you want to? Or is it your natural fear Zombies and desire to evade them??? Those are just a few of the reasons I can think of.
I believe in providing the Beginning Student safe and informative instruction while helping the Advanced Athlete improve their game. I learned early on that “The Basics Bring You Home” and in CrossFit the basics make you strong, fit and ready for life’s challenges.
